Arjun Reddy Deshmukh is a general practitioner at St. Mary’s Medical College in Mangalore, India. Despite being a brilliant student, he has serious anger management issues that deserve the ire of the dean of the university. Therefore, Arjun’s aggressive nature earned him a reputation as a college bully even among his young women. After a fight with his friend Kamal counter to members of the opposing team during an intercollegiate soccer game, the dean asks Arjun to apologize or drop out of college. Arjun initially drops out of college but falls behind after meeting freshman Preethi Shetty.

Arjun and his friend Shiva walk into a third-year classroom and announce that Arjun has a crush on Preethi, claiming that she is exclusive to him. Preethi’s father resists her relationship with Arjun due to Arjun’s bold behavior and also because they belong to different castes. Arjun asks Preethi to make a decision in six hours, otherwise he will end their relationship. And also, After this incident, Preethi’s parents grab her phone and prevent her from contacting Arjun. When she manages to visit Arjun’s house, he is drunk, injects himself with morphine, and passes out for two days.
